After sharing a stage with the likes of Snow Patrol, Kaiser Chiefs, Franz Ferdinand, The Zutons and The Sleepy Jackson as a member of Red Riders, Adrian Deutsch has stepped into the spotlight to pursue a solo career.
From his hometown of Sydney, Adrian has been busy building a new set of songs that reflect his love for timeless songwriting. Take the Crowded House meets Carole King world of "Her Light" where Adrian's stratocaster guitar licks swoop beside a string quartet. Elvis Costello and Curtis Mayfield take a walk on "Splitting the Difference" and the nostalgic lament of "Leave Love" brings to mind Van Morrison and The Verve.
When he's not reviewing books in Triple J's J-Mag each month he's working on new demos and rehearsing with his new superb band featuring Paul Andrews on drums, Leighton Arnold on bass, Adam Foreman on piano, Robin Dixon on lap steel/percussion/vocals and Adrian himself on electric guitar/vocals.
